The Chaikin Screener has been rebuilt from the ground up. Highlights:

• Three new result views — Summary tiles, Performance heatmap, and Power Gauge Checklist. Pick the one that matches what you're looking for.
• Up to 1,000 tickers in one click — bulk-add a full result set (or any selected rows) to a watchlist in a single action.
• Pin & benchmark — pin one or more stocks to the top of results, and add a symbol like SPY as a persistent comparison row.
• New filters — including the Earnings Quality Score, Buy/Sell Signal date ranges, and individual Power Gauge component filters (for eligible plans — see Chaikin Trust Features below).

🧭 Choose: Stock or ETF Screener

When you open the Screener, your first step is to choose what you're screening: Stocks or ETFs. Use the toggle at the top of the page.

✅ Stock Screener

• Includes all four Power Gauge factor groups: Financials, Earnings, Technicals, Experts
• Combines fundamentals and technicals with Buy/Sell Signals
• Filter by trends like strong earnings, price movements, or Money Flow
• Choose from stock universes like the Russell 3000, S&P 500, or a custom watchlist
• Great for long-term investing ideas, swing trade setups, or research shortlists

📈 ETF Screener

• Uses Power Gauge Ratings based on:
  • Chaikin's ETF Technical Rank
  • The Power Gauge Ratings of the stocks inside the ETF
  • A weighted score based on the ETF's holdings
• Instead of fundamentals, filter by ETF features like sector, asset class, or expense ratio
• Helpful for comparing sector rotation ideas or finding low-cost exposure to themes you like

⚠️ Only U.S. equity ETFs get full Power Gauge Ratings. Other ETFs may show limited info.

🔹 How to Run a Screen

By default, the Screener opens with a starting universe and a few filters already in place. You can adjust everything to match your strategy.

1. Pick Stocks or ETFs at the top.
2. Click Open Filter Panel on the left.
3. Choose your starting universe (e.g., "Russell 3000" or "All Rated ETFs") in the Universe category.
4. Add your filters from the categories on the left of the Filter Panel:
   • Power Gauge — Stock Rating, Factors, Checklist, Earnings Quality Score
   • Performance — Returns, Price from High/Low, Return vs. Benchmark
   • Technicals — Money Flow, Relative Strength, Volume, and more
   • Fundamentals — Market Cap, P/E, dividend yield, growth rates
   • Signals — Buy/Sell Signals on a specific date or in a range
5. Click Get Results to see your matches.
6. Adjust any filter at any time and click Update Results to refresh.

💡 Tip: Start broad and narrow down. Run a screen with just one or two filters first, then add more once you see how many matches you're getting.

👀 The Three Result Views

Once you have results, switch between Summary, Performance, and Checklist using the tabs above the results panel. Click the ⭐ next to any view name to set it as your default.

🟦 Summary View

A clean tile layout for a fast visual scan of your screened universe. Each tile shows the ticker, company name, current price, percentage change, and sector.

• Best for: quickly eyeballing what's in a large result set
• What you'll see: stock cards in a grid

🟪 Performance View

A table showing returns across multiple time frames (1W, 1M, 3M, 1Y, YTD, 5Y), plus dividend yield, market cap, average daily volume, and P/E. Toggle on the heatmap for an instant visual sense of relative performance.

• Best for: comparing returns and spotting standout performers
• What you'll see: sortable columns, optional color-coded heatmap

🟩 Checklist View

A component-level breakdown of each stock's Power Gauge Rating. Each row shows Relative Strength, Industry Strength, Overbought/Oversold, Long-Term Trend, and Money Flow Persistency — rated Strong, Early, or Optimal — plus a total score (e.g. 6/6).

• Best for: drilling into why a stock has its rating
• What you'll see: Power Gauge components per stock at a glance

📌 Pinning Stocks & Adding a Benchmark

You can pin one or more tickers to the top of your results so they stay in view regardless of how you sort.

• Click the checkbox next to any row and choose 📌 Pin to lock that stock to the top.
• Pin multiple stocks to compare them side-by-side.

In the Performance view, you can also add a reference symbol (typically a benchmark like SPY) as a persistent comparison row at the top of the table.

• Type a symbol into the Add a reference symbol or benchmark box and pick it from the dropdown.
• The benchmark stays at the top while you sort the rest of the results.

💡 Useful for "how does this group compare to the S&P 500?" questions.

📚 Preset Screens

Preset Screens are ready-made filter combinations designed to help you get started without building a screen from scratch. They're a great way to test new strategies, learn how filters interact, and uncover ideas with minimal setup.

How to find them

1. Open the Screener from the main navigation.
2. Click the Presets dropdown near the top of the page (next to the screen name).
3. Pick a preset — its filters load automatically. Click Get Results to see matches.

Available Presets

• Bullish Checklist — finds stocks that meet all six criteria on the Power Gauge checklist. Ideal for when you want full alignment.
• Classic Bull (Large/Small Cap) — long-term bullish setups using price trends, volume, and fundamental strength.
• Swing Trade (Bullish/Bearish) — shorter-term trades using Overbought/Oversold, Money Flow, and momentum filters.
• Personality Change (Bullish/Bearish) — stocks that have shifted behavior. Great for spotting early reversals.
• Fundamental Growth — companies with strong earnings and sales growth.
• Value on the Move — undervalued stocks with improving fundamentals, signaling potential breakouts.
• Bullish Insiders — Bullish-rated stocks that also show insider buying, for extra confirmation.

💡 All Preset Screens are customizable. Load one, modify filters, and save your own version with the Save As button.

💾 Saving and Managing Screens

• Click Save to store your current filter combination as a named screen.
• Click Save As to keep the original and save a customized variant.
• Click the Recents dropdown to revisit screens you've used lately.
• Click the Saved dropdown to see all the screens you've saved over time.
• Click New Screen to start fresh and clear all filters.

📥 Adding to a Watchlist

Once you have results you like, save them as a watchlist for easy access later.

1. (Optional) Select individual rows using the checkboxes, or click Select All to grab the full result set.
2. Click Add all tickers to... (or Add selected tickers to... if you've checked specific rows).
3. Choose an existing watchlist or click + Create New Watchlist in the same modal.

You can add up to 1,000 tickers in a single action — a major upgrade from the previous limit.

📌 Tip: If you've pinned a few tickers, use Add pinned tickers to... to move only those — leave the rest of the screen alone.

🔒 Chaikin Trust Features

Some Screener features are reserved for members of specific subscriptions. If you don't see them in your view, that's why.

🟡 Power Gauge factor filters

Filter on the individual components that drive the Power Gauge Rating — Financials, Earnings, Technicals, Experts — instead of just the headline rating.

Available to: Chaikin Trust and Breakthrough Investor members.

🟡 Earnings Quality Score (EQS) filter

Screen by Chaikin's proprietary Earnings Quality Score — a deeper look at the reliability of a company's earnings.

Available to: Chaikin Trust and Breakthrough Investor members.

🟡 Buy/Sell Signal date filters

Filter results to stocks that produced a Buy or Sell Signal on a specific date — or within a date range. Useful for tracking signal performance.

Available to: Chaikin Trust and Smart Money Trader members.

🟡 Export results to file

Click Export All to download up to 1,000 of your screened results as a file. Non-eligible members can still view and interact with results in the platform.

⚙️ Tips for Better Results

• Start with small changes. Adjust one filter at a time so you can see exactly what it does to your results.
• Use Preset Screens as a base. They're the fastest way to learn what good filter combinations look like.
• Compare sector ETFs. Use the ETF Screener to find the strongest sector themes at any given time.
• Catch momentum shifts early. Money Flow and Relative Strength filters help surface stocks where conviction is building.
• Save anything you'll reuse. If you'd run this screen again next week, save it — your future self will thank you.

A few ideas to try

• Sector rotation: Use the ETF Screener to spot which sectors are strongest right now based on Technical Rank or overall Power Gauge strength.
• Earnings momentum: Screen for Bullish-rated stocks with recent earnings surprises.
• Short candidate watch: Identify Bearish stocks with weakening Money Flow and Relative Strength.
• Dividend focus: Filter for Bullish-rated stocks with consistent Free Cash Flow and performance above the S&P.
• Watchlist cleanup: Use the Screener to revisit names you already own and spot any with weakening ratings.
